In extreme cases in which there are more than 10,000 folders, Outlook is very slow to open. Additionally, errors are logged in the Sync Issues folder and "9646" events are logged in the Application log. #Sync folders in outlook download
If your Outlook profile contains shared mailboxes and has caching enabled ( Download Shared Folders is selected), you encounter folder synchronization issues, performance issues, or other issues if the number of shared folders per mailbox exceeds 500, as described in Performance and synchronization problems when you work with folders in a secondary mailbox in Outlook. Folders take a long time to appear or don't appear correctly. For example, meeting updates might not be reflected in the primary, shared, or delegated calendar. You experience decreased performance in Outlook if the Inbox, Calendar, Tasks, Sent Items, or Deleted Items folders contain lots of items. When you use Cached Exchange Mode or an Outlook data (.pst) file, you notice performance issues when you take certain actions. Note: Any changes or new entries in Global Address List made after import is complete will not be synchronized to the Contacts folder.You experience symptoms such as the following in Microsoft Outlook: This will add them to personal Contacts folder which synchronizes with the mobile device. Right-click on the selected contacts and choose Add to Contacts. You will see appointments displayed in the color that corresponds to each folder's individual color. 
To view events from all calendars, tap All. You can choose to view one calendar or events from all calendars. Under Calendar on the iPhone, you can see all the calendar folders and subfolders in one list.
You may see the content of each folder by simply tapping it once. Folders are displayed in a tree view, and subfolders appear under the parent folder, exactly as in Outlook. Under Mail on iPhone you can see all the mail folders, including subfolders and other folders on the same level as the Inbox.
